Why ME???

Did someone put a hex on me sometime in the past or is the world out to get me or what? I swear something is wrong with my aura or my something. I just got over a damn ear infection and sinusitis and now I have effin PNEUMONIA!!!! WTF! I'm on Cipro, Robitussin with Codine and an inhaler cause my coughing fits make my lungs spasm and then I can't breathe. Plus I've got the effin runs to the point where I'm dehydrated and the Dr. says if I don't get better within 48 hours she wants to put me in the hospital on IV anitbiotics and fluid. I swear I need to go to Kellogs place and eat corn flakes and get daily enemas to make myself better. "chew chew chew it is the thing to do" On the up side from being sick I've lost 9 lbs in a week, not healthy but hey it's 9 lbs. Well I'm off to take my cough medicine and try to eat some soup and time how long before it comes back.

UPDATE~~ Well the runs turned out to be a BAD bacterial intestinal infection called c-diff (Clostridium difficile) and I am lucky that when I told my Dr. I had the runs she put me on the right medicine for it, so now I am on Flagyl on top of the stuff for pneumonia. Anyway, I'm heading to bed it's 1am and Mike is in the Land of ONE Grocery store again.

Finally a Post

Well, the past few weeeks have been extremely hectic and stressful. Somewhere in a previous post I mentioned that Gavin was being tested for Cystic Fibrosis. Well, his first test came back borderline, which prompted the doctor to say that he needed to be re-tested. So we took Gavin back to get tested again and thankfully it came back negative. Now he has to get his adnoids removed and tubes put in, again, on Feb 6 because he pushed out his tubes early and he has fluid in his ears again. Hopefully taking out his adnoids will fix the problem with him always having a sinus issue.

My recovery from my surgery has not been so great. I am still in massive amounts of pain and not feeling well. I go today for another follow up because the Dr. wanted to run a liver function test on me since when I had surgery the liver function they did came back abnormal. And we need to find out why I'm still in pain.

My Mom got shingles from the stress of Charles passing, so now she can't come near me for a while since I have never had chicken pox and shingles is the adult version of the chicken pox she can give it to me. Her face looks like she has road rash, and is not pretty at all.

I still don't know about Nursing school cause they have not gotten the official results yet and they were supposed to have them on Monday so needless to say I am a little stressed out.

I don't know yet if I go back to work Monday or if I need more tests run, but I do not feel ready to go back to work because I feel like crap. I also need to go see a neurologist because I'm getting my migraines again and don't know why.

We have a friend staying here this week (the one from korea) and it's strange. He is now divorced and when we saw him last he was married. He is "seeing" a girl now but they just started seeing eachother and it's a very ackward feeling since he is trying to be good. So there are a lot of ackward moments with him even though we brush it off like it's nothing. Well I don't know if I am done the post or not with my long rant about a bunch of nothing, but I have to leave for my Dr. appt so if I remember anything else I will update later.

The Crab Nebula. This is what is left from a Supernova (an explosion from a star dying) that happened in 1054. Chinese and Arab Astronomers recorded seeing the supernova in the sky during the day. This would mean it was the most powerful Supernova explosion recorded to date.

Charles F. Youngker, Rest in Peace Friend

Charles Francis Youngker, 87, passed away on January 7th, 2008. Charles was born on June 7th 1920, in Phoenix, Arizona, son of Benjamin Franklin Youngker Sr. and Lillian Meeker Youngker. He spent his early childhood in Phoenix and attended Emerson Grammar School for five years. His mother died in 1928. Soon after, he and his brother were sent to live on a farm in Iowa with family friends, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tarr. He finished grammar and high school in Morovia, Iowa, where he attained the rank of Life Scout. Charles matriculated at Cornell College of Iowa in Mount Vernon, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics. After college in 1942, Charles moved back to Arizona and began the start of a long and successful career in agriculture. Charles started at the bottom - as a common laborer in helping his father develop raw desert land into productive farmland. Charles looked back to the development of new land as one of the greatest thrills of his career. "Developing new land, turning the raw desert into production, is a real challenge," he said. "It involves drilling wells, surveying, digging ditches, installing power lines, leveling the soil, putting in pumps; and finally the real thrill of planting the first seed and harvesting the first crop." His hard work and dedication enabled him to accomplish what must have seemed, at times, an impossible dream. As a result of his vast contributions, many people feel the cotton industry and Charles Youngker are synonymous. For over six decades he farmed in Buckeye, Rainbow Valley and Arlington, Arizona. Even while spending long hours running his agribusiness, he found time to lend his expertise to other people in his industry. He was a past president and twenty-eight year member of the Roosevelt Irrigation Board of Directors, past President and twenty year member of the Rainbow Valley Irrigation Board of Directors, President of the Oscar Johnson Foundation (an arm of the National Cotton Council), Past President and Chairman of the Board of the Arizona Cotton Growers Association, and President of the National Cotton Council and Chairman of the Board. Charles also served his community by being a founding member of the Buckeye Community Church; past President and sixteen year member of the Buckeye Union High School Board of Education; a past Grand Master of the Arizona Independent Order of Odd Fellows and an officer in the organization's Sovereign Grand Lodge; a former President of the Buckeye Chamber of Commerce; member of the Board of Trustees of Cornell College of Iowa, his alma mater, where he was awarded the Alumni Achievement Award. Charles also gave back to his community by building the Steven Youngker Tennis Center on the campus of Grand Canyon College, the Madelyn Youngker Learning Center at Grace Fellowship Church, and the Youngker Hall at Cornell College in Iowa. He has received numerous rewards for his leadership and community service including: the Buckeye Lions Club Outstanding Community Leader, University of Arizona Lifetime Achievement Award, Harry S. Baker Award in honor of extraordinary service and leadership which led to the advancement of the United States Cotton Industry. Charles was preceded in death by his college sweetheart and wife of thirty-eight years, Madelyn Youngker, his son Steven Youngker, and his brother Ben Youngker. He is survived by his wife Virginia Youngker; stepmother, Martha Jane Youngker; son, Chuck Youngker (Virginia); daughter Susan Truax (Dave); Adult Children by marriage Susan Ovel (Steve); Lisa Williams (Dean); Lori Swift (Jim); and Jeff Weih (Phyllis); thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. The Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 10th at 3:00 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, at 13658 W. Meeker Blvd., Sun City West, Arizona, 85375. A Memorial Service will follow the Viewing at 4:00. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 11, at 1:00p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church, 1300 N. Miller Rd., Buckeye, Arizona 85326. Arrangements entrusted to Sunland Mortuary.

GOOD RIDDANCE 2007!

First off, I updated Wish me Luck! with pics from the surgery. I'm healing as best I can with a bad cold and a toddler to take care of. The Vicodin they gave me isn't doing anything but giving me cotton mouth and then making me tired. Other then that The pain is slowly getting better and I can finally walk up and down the stairs and get in and out of bed myself. I still can't pick up little man without crying, plus I'm not supposed to lift more then 10 lbs for another 4 days and nothing more then 20 for 3 weeks.



So finally 2007 is over. I would like to deem it as the year of bullcocky. It was by far one of the worst years I have had. From day 1 of 2007 things went wrong. Gavin was sick non-stop all year, I had 2 surgeries and many many illnesses. Mike's car broke so many times I can't count. We had several money problems right up to the end of the year. We had to move cause the place we were renting got foreclosed on. Friends got divorced and in accidents and fired. And they had the nerve to coin it the year of luck- HA!!!

So here is to a NEW YEAR, NEW START and hopefully a WONDERFUL 2008!
